Radio Worthing CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company that offers a local radio service for the town of Worthing and the surrounding areas.
Unlike other radio stations that have abandoned the town, we are rooted in Worthing and are committed to providing genuine local journalism, quality music from various eras, and giving a voice back to our community.
As a community interest company, Radio Worthing doesn’t have any shareholders. This means any funding we receive - either from local advertising or kind donations - directly funds original local journalism we feature on air and on our website, and also supports the technology that allows us to broadcast. Our directors take no salary from the station, and many of the programmes are produced by volunteers.

Do we need a local radio station? Our research has consistently shown that Worthing is underserved by existing broadcast media. With BBC and Commercial Radio having reduced their localness consistently over the last 10 years, it’s clear there’s a market for our town’s voice to be heard, to break through the noise once again.
Hasn’t Facebook taken over as a source of local news? Facebook has certainly changed the way we consume local news and information, but not necessarily for the better.
