Sussex folklore exhibition opens at Worthing Museum

A new exhibition exploring the rich folklore of Sussex will open at Worthing Museum as it reopens following a year-long refurbishment. Created by Figment Arts, the exhibition is the result of two years of collaboration with more than 600 participants from across the region.

The display brings together large-scale collaborative pieces and individual artworks inspired by local legends, including the Knucker Dragon of Lyminster, the Midsummer Oak and the spectral hounds of Sussex. Visitors can expect a range of artistic media including painting, textiles, animation, installation and illustration, alongside a dedicated space to explore folklore books.

The exhibition runs from March 28 to June 21, with a special Midsummer Open Event on June 18 from 6pm to 7.30pm featuring singing, storytelling and celebration.
