A259 in Angmering reopens after chemical spill closed road overnight

The A259 at Angmering has reopened this morning following an overnight closure caused by a chemical spill.

Sussex Police closed the Roundstone Bypass in both directions at the junction with the Roundstone Roundabout on Tuesday evening. The closure followed a reported chemical spillage, prompting safety concerns and a diversion for motorists.

The road remained shut into the night, affecting traffic along the A259 corridor. Traffic has now returned to normal following the reopening.
