BAFTA winning animator Laurie Rowan designs new identity for Worthing Festival 2026

Worthing Festival has unveiled a new visual identity for its 2026 event created by BAFTA winning animator and director Laurie Rowan, as organisers confirm dates for the town wide arts celebration in June.
Rowan, who is based locally, designed a playful set of illustrated characters to represent the community spirit behind the festival. The artwork reflects his distinctive animation style, combining modular character design with textured elements intended to give the digital imagery a natural and tactile feel. Organisers say the design highlights the festival’s focus on creativity, connection and local participation.
Worthing Festival Fringe will run across venues throughout the town from 1 to 30 June 2026, with the main festival taking place in Homefield Park from 19 to 21 June. The programme will include more than 50 performers, artists and groups, alongside workshops, art installations and family activities, with organisers planning expanded facilities and the return of the community parade and street celebrations.
