Bin collection changes and missed garden waste pickups reported over bank holiday

Residents in Adur and Worthing are being advised that bin and garden waste collection dates may change over the bank holiday weekend, as councils also address missed pickups caused by staffing issues.

Adur and Worthing Councils issued a reminder for households to check their collection days, noting that schedules could be altered during the holiday period. Residents are encouraged to use the council website or mobile app to confirm updated dates and receive notifications.

The councils also confirmed that some garden waste collections were missed in Shoreham and Lancing due to staff shortages. Affected areas include Shoreham Beach and parts of Lancing such as The Broadway, Orient Road, Bristol Avenue, George V Avenue, Boundary Road, Prince Avenue and West Avenue, with crews expected to return on Tuesday, May 5 to complete the rounds.
