Bin Collection Delays as Worthing Adjusts to New Waste Schedule

Worthing residents have experienced delays and missed collections as Adur and Worthing Councils implement a new bin collection schedule across the area.

The local authority acknowledged disruption, particularly affecting garden waste and recycling collections, as the transition to a new system continues. While most refuse collections are now running on time, some properties in Shoreham missed their black bin collection last week. Affected residents are advised to leave any extra bagged waste beside their bins for the next scheduled collection on Wednesday 14th May.

Recycling collections in Worthing are still undergoing final changes, and some residents may face an extended gap between pick-ups. The council has asked residents to place any overflow recycling in untied bags or containers next to their bins and to confirm their collection dates online. Apologies have been issued, and residents are also reminded they can use local recycling centres if needed.
