Car crashes into house on High Street in Tarring

Emergency services were called to High Street in Tarring on Tuesday afternoon after a car collided with a residential property.

The incident occurred at around 3.55pm on May 6, prompting a response from police, ambulance and fire crews. A fire engine from Worthing was dispatched by Joint Fire Control, with firefighters arriving to find a single vehicle had crashed into the side of a house.

Firefighters secured the scene and left shortly after 4.30pm. The South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that two people were assessed and treated at the scene, but did not require hospital treatment and were discharged. Sussex Police described the incident as a “minor collision” and confirmed that no further investigation was being pursued.

Images shared on social media showed visible damage to the building and the vehicle involved. The road was temporarily closed with police tape while emergency crews worked at the scene.
