Cathy Glynn-Davies elected Mayor of Worthing for 2025-26

Cllr Cathy Glynn-Davies has been elected as the new Mayor of Worthing for the 2025/26 civic year.

The Broadwater Ward representative was unanimously chosen at Worthing Borough Council’s annual meeting, with Cllr Lysanne Skinner of Tarring Ward elected as Deputy Mayor.

Cllr Glynn-Davies described the appointment as both an honour and a challenge, acknowledging the legacy of previous mayors and expressing her hope that everyone in Worthing will have the chance to grow and thrive. She said the council would work to ensure those opportunities are available to all residents.

The mayor’s nominated charities for the year will be Worthing Food Foundation and Community Chest. The latter supports local projects through recycling initiatives and grant awards to benefit the wider community.
