Cement mixer crash causes rush hour delays in Shoreham

A loaded cement mixer overturned on the A259 Brighton Road at Saltings roundabout in Shoreham early on Friday morning, causing delays during the rush hour.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 06:30, including police, fire crews and paramedics. One person received treatment for minor injuries and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

A lane closure remained in place while the lorry was recovered, leading to significant congestion in the area throughout the morning.
