Chris Agutter Signs Contract Extension to Stay at Worthing FC Until 2029

Chris Agutter has signed a contract extension to remain as Worthing FC’s first-team manager until the end of the 2028-29 season.

The decision follows a strong first season under Agutter, where he led the team to within one point of the National South title, despite losing to Maidstone in the play-off eliminator.

Agutter joined the club under challenging conditions, including the departure of key players and a challenging early-season schedule, but managed to secure a top-four finish with 88 points. The club’s chairman, Barry Hunter, praised Agutter for his contributions to the team’s progress, expressing excitement about his continued role in the club’s future.

Football Director Nathan Bowen highlighted that the club’s evolving part-time model would allow for more contact time between the coaching staff and players, helping Agutter bring out the best in the squad. Agutter expressed his delight with the new contract and looks forward to preparing a competitive squad for the upcoming season.
