Cleaning and repainting works under way across Worthing town centre

Cleaning and repainting work is under way in Worthing town centre as part of a wider programme to enhance the area’s appearance for residents and visitors.
Since Monday, contractors working on behalf of Worthing Borough Council have been jet-washing paving stones along pedestrianised areas of Warwick Street and South Street Square to remove built-up grime. Sections already completed are visibly cleaner, with more areas due to be treated in the coming weeks.
Elsewhere, black and white bollards outside the Pavilion Theatre have been repainted, as have the railings at Beach House Park. New work began today to repaint benches near the Guildbourne Centre and to refresh the markings on the narrow steps linking Warwick Street with the centre’s side entrance.
The works are part of a broader town centre action plan, with further investment planned along the seafront and high street areas. The aim is to improve the overall look of Worthing for both residents and visitors as the town prepares for continued revitalisation.
