CrabShack Restaurant In Worthing Damaged In Vandalism Incident

A restaurant in Worthing has been vandalised after rocks were thrown at its door and window, causing damage to glass at the premises on Marine Parade. The damage was discovered by the owners of CrabShack on the morning of June 11.

In a social media post, the restaurant said that rocks were thrown at the door, damaging the first layer of safety glass, before a window was also targeted, leaving two large panes requiring replacement.

The incident is the second act of vandalism reported at the family-run venue, with a previous occurrence also involving a smashed side window. CrabShack, which has previously been named among The Guardian’s top ten beach restaurants in Europe, is reviewing CCTV footage and has reported the matter to police.
