Crowdfunding appeal launched to save Durrington Festival

A crowdfunding campaign has been launched in Worthing to help secure the future of the Durrington Festival, a free community event that faces rising operational costs.
The annual festival, which costs around £3,500 to run, is organised by a small team of ten volunteers. They rely mainly on selling trader plots to raise funds, but this year’s income has fallen short. To cover essential expenses, including a new set of radios, organisers are appealing to the public for donations.
In addition to a GoFundMe page, the team has arranged fundraising quizzes at The Park View pub. They are encouraging community members to each contribute £1, which they say would be enough to fund next year’s event. The festival team emphasised their non-profit status and said every donation, no matter the size, helps keep the event running for local families.
