Driver charged after car crashes into five parked vehicles in Worthing

A man has been charged after a vehicle crashed into five parked cars in Worthing on Saturday night.

The incident took place on Congreve Road at approximately 9pm on 15 June, prompting a response from Sussex Police.

The driver, identified as Tobias Welton, 31, of Peony Grove, Worthing, was arrested at the scene. Police later confirmed that he has been charged with driving while over the prescribed alcohol limit and driving without a valid test certificate.

Welton has been released on bail and is due to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on 1 July. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
