Drug dealers sentenced over Worthing heroin and cocaine supply line

Two drug dealers who operated a heroin and cocaine supply line in Worthing and West Sussex have been sentenced after police uncovered evidence of their involvement in the network.

Ryan Bennett-Morris, 27, of Byron Avenue, Coulsdon, Croydon, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison at Lewes Crown Court on 18 August. Alexander Lockhart, 46, of Tarring Road, Worthing, received a three-year suspended prison sentence and must complete nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement sessions. Both had admitted offences relating to the supply of heroin and cocaine, while Bennett-Morris also admitted possessing both drugs with intent to supply.

The court heard that police carried out warrants at two Worthing addresses on 3 June, with Bennett-Morris attempting to escape before being detained and wraps of class A drugs found inside an address. Police said Bennett-Morris supplied the drugs while Lockhart acted as a runner supporting the operation, known as the KY Line. Detective Inspector Antony Preston said officers worked with partner agencies, including the Metropolitan Police, to gather evidence of the pair’s involvement.
