Emergency services respond to car fire at Lyons Farm in Worthing

Fire crews were called to a supermarket car park in Worthing on Saturday afternoon after a car caught fire near the A27 at Lyons Farm.

The incident was reported at 1.47pm, stating the vehicle was ablaze in the car park adjacent to the main carriageway, prompting a response from emergency services.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service confirmed that crews were dispatched at 1.35pm following reports of the blaze. Two fire engines from Worthing Fire Station were sent to the scene where firefighters quickly brought the situation under control. The fire was extinguished and crews left the site by 2.30pm.
