Ferring singer lands role in upcoming crime thriller film

A singer from Ferring has secured a role in an upcoming feature film. TreeAnna will appear as herself in the crime thriller Blood Orange Retribution and will perform an original song written specifically for the production.
The film’s producer, Michael Wearing, said he had attended live music events across Sussex to find the right performer for a key scene and described TreeAnna as a perfect fit. The track featured in the film, titled You’re not the Man for Me, was composed by Worthing musician Paul Cunningham, frontman of the band Hurricane Shack, with lyrics by Wearing.
Directed by Can Somer, Blood Orange Retribution is set in London and North Cyprus and is expected to receive a cinema release later this year. TreeAnna, who has performed on cruise ships and across venues in the South of England, continues to perform a range of tribute and soul material at events throughout the region.
