Festive Market and 30-Foot Christmas Tree Kick Off Worthing's Winter Fest
A 30-foot Christmas tree has been installed in Worthing town centre, signalling the start of the Winter Fest celebrations, which include a festive market and family entertainment.
The Worthing Business Improvement District (BID) team has announced the launch of Winter Fest on Friday, November 29. The event will start with a festive market at midday, followed by family-friendly entertainment from 4pm to 8pm, featuring live music, stilt walkers, aerial performers, and a comedy street show. The centrepiece of the celebrations, a 30-foot Christmas tree, now stands in Montague Street.
Worthing Borough Council confirmed that the tree, sourced from the Balcombe Estate, was funded by Hemiko, a partner in the Worthing Heat Network project. The tree has been decorated with lights by the council’s events team and contractors Balfour Beatty, complementing the BID’s festive display.
