Fire crews tackle loft blaze at property in Worthing

Firefighters were called to a property in Worthing after a fire broke out in the loft space on Monday evening (November 10). Crews attended the incident in Northcourt Road at around 7.50pm.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said three fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were mobilised to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters found the remains of a fire which had affected the loft area and roof of the building.

Crews used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire had been fully extinguished and that there were no remaining hotspots. Firefighters left the scene at approximately 8.45pm. No further details, including the cause of the fire, have yet been released.
