Fire in restaurant kitchen in Tarring prompts emergency response

Emergency services were called to a restaurant in South Street in Tarring after reports of a fire on Wednesday afternoon.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said three fire engines were mobilised to the scene at 12.38pm where crews found a fire in the kitchen of a takeaway restaurant.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the blaze while paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended. Crews left the scene by 2.15pm.
