Firefighters called to Worthing Pier after a small fire broke out

Firefighters were called to Worthing Pier on Wednesday evening after a small fire was reported at the seafront landmark.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Worthing and Shoreham were dispatched to the scene at around 5.40pm on May 20. The fire had already been extinguished before firefighters arrived.

The fire service confirmed that no further action was required when crews reached the pier.
