Firefighters rescue trapped dog from under Worthing Lido

Firefighters rescued a dog after it became trapped beneath Worthing Lido on Saturday morning.

Emergency crews were called to The Promenade at 11.13am after reports that a Jack Russell had become stuck under the structure. One fire engine from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene to assist with the rescue.

Firefighters managed to safely free the animal, which was then reunited with its owner. The incident was brought to a close at 12.42pm, and no injuries were reported.
