Firefighters Tackle Flat Fire in Worthing

Emergency services were called to Mill Road in Worthing after a flat fire broke out shortly after 1pm on Tuesday (9 September).

Police, paramedics and three fire engines attended the scene.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel. Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service were also present during the incident.

Ambulance crews assessed one patient at the scene, who was later discharged from their care. Firefighters left the scene at around 2pm.
