Firefighters tackle late-night blaze at Goring launderette

Fire crews were called to a launderette fire in Goring on Thursday evening (1 May), bringing the blaze under control within an hour.
Three fire engines were dispatched to the scene at Aldsworth Parade at 9.28pm following reports of a fire at the property. Firefighters from West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service arrived to find flames on the ground floor of the building.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using two hose reels. Once the fire was extinguished, crews remained on-site to carry out damping down operations and used thermal imaging equipment to check for any remaining hotspots.
The fire service confirmed that the crews left the scene at 10.46pm. No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire has not been disclosed.
