Guild Care to Open New Charity Superstore in Former River Island Unit in Worthing

Guild Care is set to open a new charity superstore in the former River Island unit on Montague Street in Worthing later this summer.
The Worthing-based charity announced the move on social media, saying it was proud to be part of the town centre community and that every purchase helps fund its support services.
The charity said staff are currently preparing the store by cleaning, sorting and stocking items ahead of the opening. The unit occupies a prominent position on Worthing’s high street next to the underpass linking Montague Street with the Grafton multi-storey car park. River Island closed its Worthing branch in May last year.
Guild Care already operates several charity shops across Worthing, including sites in Rowlands Road and Warwick Street. The charity also runs The Greenhouse in East Worthing, one of the UK’s largest charity superstores.
Established in 1933, Guild Care supports more than 3,000 people each year through services including home care, community transport and assistance for families of children and adults with disabilities and additional needs.
