Leak Repaired and Traffic Lights Removed on A24 in Findon

A leak on the A24 in Findon, has been repaired and temporary traffic lights have been removed, bringing relief to local motorists.

Traffic on the A24 had been reduced to one lane for several days while Southern Water crews worked to resolve the issue. The repairs, which began earlier in the week, caused significant delays along the busy route through Findon.

Southern Water confirmed the completion of the works on Thursday afternoon, stating that traffic lights had been removed earlier that day. The utility company apologised for the disruption and noted that the repairs were part of a broader programme that saw 20,820 leaks fixed between April 2024 and April 2025.

The company said it had increased resources to tackle leaks across the region and continues to prioritise reducing water loss and minimising the impact on road users during essential maintenance.
