Man arrested on suspicion of murder in Worthing

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of murder after a 25-year-old man died in Worthing on Wednesday (3 September).

Emergency services were called to reports of a man with serious injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was detained in Curzon Close, Worthing, and remains in custody. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cullimore, who is leading the investigation, said specialist officers are supporting the victim’s family and confirmed that no other individuals are being sought in connection with the case. He also urged the public to avoid speculation online while enquiries continue.
