Man suffers serious injuries in assault outside Worthing bar

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in an assault outside a bar in Worthing in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident occurred outside MacMillans bar on Union Place at around 2.40am on Sunday, 27 July. According to Sussex Police, the man was punched and knocked unconscious during an altercation.

Officers believe the assault took place as patrons were leaving the venue and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Those with information are asked to contact police on 101, quoting serial 173 of 27/7.
