Paid parking to replace free bays outside Worthing Law Courts

Parking bays outside Worthing Law Courts are set to become paid shared use spaces following the introduction of a permanent Traffic Regulation Order on Christchurch Road.

West Sussex County Council has confirmed that the bays which previously allowed up to two hours of free parking will now permit up to four hours of pay and display parking while remaining available to residents and visitor permit holders.

The order was advertised in August 2025 as part of amendments within the Worthing Controlled Parking Zone with the aim of increasing overall parking capacity and providing more flexibility for residents living south of Stoke Abbott Road and no objections were received during the consultation period.
