Person Freed After Car Crash in Salvington

A person was freed from a vehicle by firefighters following a road traffic collision in Salvington on Thursday afternoon. Emergency services attended the incident involving a single vehicle in Ashacre Lane.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said joint fire control sent two fire engines and a heavy rescue tender to the scene. Firefighters arrived and used hydraulic rescue equipment to free a person who was trapped inside the vehicle.
The casualty was then left in the care of crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service. Fire crews remained at the scene before booking away at around 3.30pm.
