Person taken to hospital after early morning collision on Worthing seafront

A person has been taken to hospital after a road traffic collision on the A259 at West Parade in Worthing. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 8am on Thursday morning following reports of an incident on the seafront road.
South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that ambulance crews attended the scene, where one patient was assessed and treated before being transported to Worthing Hospital for further care. No further details about the nature of the collision or the individual’s condition have been released.
Sussex Police has been approached for comment and is yet to confirm whether any road closures or further action were required as a result of the incident.
