Peter James named ambassador for Worthing charity Guild Care

Bestselling crime writer Peter James has been announced as a new ambassador for Guild Care, a social care charity supporting older people and those living with dementia in Worthing and the surrounding area.
The internationally recognised author, known for his Roy Grace detective novels and their television adaptation, said he was proud to support a local charity with a long-standing role in the community.
Guild Care was founded in 1933 and currently supports more than 3,000 people through residential care, dementia day services and community programmes. The charity focuses on reducing loneliness and social isolation among older people, an issue it says can have a significant impact on health and wellbeing.
Chief executive Warren Fabes said the charity was honoured by the appointment and looked forward to working with Mr James to raise awareness of its work in Worthing. Guild Care plans to hold a series of events with its new ambassador during the year as demand for social care services continues to grow.
