Plans submitted for 123 homes on former gasworks site in Worthing

A planning application has been announced for the construction of 123 properties on the site of a former gasworks in Worthing.

Bellway Homes Limited Southern Countries has published a notice under Article 13 of the Town and Country Planning Order 2015 for development at the Durrington Gasworks site in Martlets Way Goring. Landowners or tenants who wish to make representations have 21 days from 26 February to write to Worthing Borough Council regarding the application.

The proposed mixed use development would include 123 dwellings and commercial units alongside associated parking landscaping open space and drainage. The plans form phase two of Elizabeth Square on land to the east of the Holm Oak Business Park and north of Juno Close with access via Martlets Way and follow the previous development built on the former tax office site.
