Police Appeal After Serious Collision In Worthing Involving Mobility Scooter Rider

Police are investigating a collision in Worthing after a mobility scooter rider suffered serious injuries when a taxi is reported to have reversed into her.

The incident happened at around 11.05am on Wednesday 27 May in Buckingham Road. A Ford Transit Custom is reported to have reversed into a mobility scooter rider.

The rider, a 78-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries requiring hospital treatment. Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision, and officers are appealing for anyone with information or relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
