Police appeal after teenager stabbed on Worthing seafront

An 18-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed during an incident involving a group of teenagers on Worthing seafront.

Sussex Police said they were called at about 13:17 BST on Wednesday following reports that three teenagers, one armed with a knife, were chasing another teenager along Marine Parade near the junction with West Street. The victim sustained a hand injury and was treated at the scene by members of the public before being taken to hospital.

According to police, the suspects – described as white and wearing black hoodies – fled the scene heading west along Marine Parade. Officers are appealing for information and witnesses. Neil Walker, from Worthing CID, urged anyone who saw what happened or has relevant details to contact police.
