Police investigate stabbing outside Portslade Railway Station

Police have launched an investigation after a man in his 40s was stabbed during an altercation outside Portslade Railway Station on Thursday evening (8 October). The victim was taken to hospital with a single stab wound and remains in a stable condition.
Officers attended the station at around 7.20pm following reports of the stabbing. Police said the altercation involved four men and two women, all believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. Detectives are working to establish the circumstances of the incident and identify those involved.
Detective Inspector Jennifer Pietersen acknowledged the concern the incident would cause local residents and said police were continuing their investigation.
