Police Search For Man Following Reported Bladed Weapon Incident At Lancing Asda

Police are responding to a report of a man entering the Asda store in South Street, Lancing, with a bladed weapon. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.

Officers are conducting extensive searches and are seeking to identify and locate the man as part of their enquiries. Police have said public safety remains their priority while efforts continue to find and detain him.

Detective Superintendent Andrew Harbour said the incident was likely to cause concern within the community and confirmed there would be an increased police presence in the area. Anyone who sees or recognises the man is urged to call 999 and quote serial 432 of 04/06.
