Police speak to Worthing fan after pitchside celebration incident

Police have spoken to a football supporter after he exposed his bottom during celebrations at a Worthing FC match.

The incident occurred on April 25 as Worthing secured promotion to the National League with a 2-0 victory over Ebbsfleet United at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium. A crowd of more than 4,000 attended the match, but attention was drawn to a man watching from a nearby rooftop who set off a red flare and bared his bottom towards away supporters following the opening goal.

Sussex Police confirmed officers attended the fixture and spoke to a man in his 20s at around 1.10pm regarding disorderly behaviour. He was given words of advice at the scene, and no arrests were made.
