Police step up action on dangerous electric motorbike use

Police in Worthing have announced increased enforcement action to tackle the anti-social and dangerous use of electric motorbikes across the area.

Officers say the bikes have been regularly seen being ridden dangerously in both Worthing and Adur, with many riders using them without the required licence or insurance. The behaviour has raised safety concerns for both riders and other road users.

The Worthing Neighbourhood Policing Team will carry out targeted patrols throughout the remainder of the Easter school holidays and beyond. Police say they will identify those responsible, seize vehicles where necessary, and take action against any offences detected, while urging residents to report information about where the bikes are being used or stored.
