Revised plans submitted for 19 home development in Angmering

Revised plans for a housing development in Angmering have been submitted to Arun District Council following the refusal of an earlier application and the dismissal of a subsequent appeal.

The new proposal relates to land at Broadlees in Dappers Lane and has been submitted by D and M Planning Ltd on behalf of Natta Building Co Ltd.

The updated scheme proposes 19 properties on the 0.6 hectare site, which previously had outline permission for up to 20 homes. According to the planning statement, the revised plans aim to address concerns raised by a planning inspector about limited open space and what was described as a cramped and car dominated layout.

The development would include nine three bedroom houses, two four bedroom houses, two two bedroom houses, four two bedroom flats and two one bedroom flats. Five of the homes would be affordable housing. The site is surrounded by recent development, including a nearby care home, and members of the public have until May 22 to comment on the application.
