Teenage girl arrested after rock thrown through Worthing Custody Centre window

A teenage girl has been arrested after a window was damaged at Worthing Custody Centre in Durrington Lane.

The incident occurred shortly after the girl had been released from custody in relation to a previous criminal damage offence.

Sussex Police confirmed that the 15-year-old, from Lancing, is alleged to have thrown a rock through a window at the custody suite, located within Centenary House.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and has been bailed pending further investigation. She is due to answer bail on 19 August while enquiries continue.
