Teenager arrested after stabbing leaves man seriously injured in Worthing park

A 17 year old boy has been arrested after a man in his 40s was seriously injured in a stabbing in Victoria Park, Worthing, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Officers were called at around 2.45am on February 28 following reports that a man had been attacked after a brief interaction with two people in the park.

Sussex Police said the suspects were described as wearing grey tracksuits with their hoods up and faces covered. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

On Sunday, March 1, a 17 year old boy from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug. He remains in custody while enquiries continue, and police are appealing for witnesses to contact them quoting Operation Evesham.
