Teenager seriously injured in e bike collision in Worthing

A 17 year old boy has been seriously injured following a collision involving an electric bike and a van in Worthing.

Sussex Police said the incident happened at around 5.30pm on Friday, May 1, on Dominion Road at the junction with Congreve Road. The teenage rider, who is local to the area, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, while the van driver was not injured.

An air ambulance landed at nearby Broadwater Green following the collision. Dominion Road was closed in both directions between Congreve Road and Southdown View Road while emergency services attended, but the road has since reopened. Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage, asking anyone with information to contact them quoting serial 1240 of 01/05.
