Tesco West Durrington Extra store closed following power cut

Tesco’s West Durrington Extra store in Worthing remains closed following a power cut on Saturday Night.
Customers with Tesco delivery and Click+Collect orders were also affected by the disruption which has resulted in the store remaining closed on Sunday 30th August.
In an email to affected customers seen by Radio Worthing, Tesco said: “I’m really sorry we had to cancel your order due to a power cut.”
It has not yet been established whether the power cut was confined to the retail site or whether homes and other properties in the surrounding Durrington area were also affected.
No confirmed UK Power Networks incident covering the area has been identified in publicly available information.
Tesco’s website lists the West Durrington Extra store open as normal at 11am on Sunday but Radio Worthing’s listeners confirmed on social media that the store is still closed.
