Teville Road near Worthing station to close in stages for 14 weeks

A main road serving Worthing railway station and nearby businesses will be closed in stages for up to 14 weeks from January as part of essential gas network upgrade works.
SGN has confirmed that Teville Road will be affected from Monday January 12, with closures taking place in three short sections and no through traffic permitted between the A24 roundabout and Tarring Road roundabout.
The works form phase two of a wider project to upgrade the local gas network, following earlier closures in Victoria Road. SGN said the work is necessary to ensure gas supplies remain safe and reliable for homes and businesses, adding that traffic management measures are required due to the location of the pipework.
Bus services are expected to be disrupted at times, with passengers advised to check with their operators for the latest updates. Vehicle access to properties and businesses will be maintained via signed diversion routes, bin collection days are expected to remain unchanged, and residents affected by the works will be kept informed as the project progresses.
