Thousands of Runners Take Part in 2025 Worthing Half Marathon

Thousands of runners took to the streets on Sunday, 4 May, for the 2025 Worthing Half Marathon, with James Baker and Kate Drew emerging as the overall winners.

The annual event returned to Worthing with over 2,000 participants competing along the seafront course. James Baker of Chichester Runners & AC completed the race in 1 hour, 11 minutes and 44 seconds, securing the top spot in the men’s category. Kate Drew led the women’s field, crossing the line in 1 hour, 19 minutes and 36 seconds.

Coinciding with Star Wars Day, the event encouraged runners and supporters to dress as their favourite characters from the franchise. The festive atmosphere extended beyond the race with every finisher receiving a medal and a gift bag.

To conclude the day, a free public music after-party was scheduled, headlined by blues band Miller Anderson’s ‘Brothers in the Blues’.
