Thousands take part in Worthing Runfest tenth anniversary

Thousands of runners took to the streets of Worthing as the town’s annual Runfest returned, with around 4,000 participants expected for this year’s event.

The half marathon began on the seafront near Worthing Pier at 9.30am, marking the start of a day of races. The event also includes a 10k race, scheduled to start at 11.10am, followed by a family mile at 11.45am.

Organisers said the 2026 event, which marks the tenth anniversary of Runfest, is set to be the largest in its history and is expected to be the town’s biggest one day fundraiser. An after party is due to take place later at Beach House Grounds.
