Two teenage boys have been arrested after a bike and signs were thrown onto the railway line at Angmering station late on Tuesday night. Officers were called to reports of youths throwing items onto the tracks at around 11.40pm.
After searching the surrounding area, police arrested two boys on suspicion of obstructing the railway. Enquiries into the incident are continuing.
Southern’s health, safety and security director said the behaviour was dangerous and could have caused serious harm, adding that trains in the area can travel at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.
