Wadars launches fundraising appeal for new animal rescue centre in Patching

Animal rescue charity Wadars has launched a fundraising appeal to develop a purpose-built animal centre at its new three-acre site at Willow Farm in Patching. The charity, which previously operated from Hangleton Lane in Ferring, is seeking donations to help create improved facilities for animals in its care.
The Willow Farm Appeal will fund new dog kennels, the relocation of the charity’s cattery, a dedicated dog exercise area and a small animal unit. The appeal was launched at an event at Willow Farm, where supporters, local businesses and partners toured the site and heard about the development plans. Wadars, which was founded in 1969, says the move will provide more suitable accommodation for animals and allow its services to expand in the future.
Wadars trustee Jill Silk thanked supporters for their encouragement and said community fundraising and business partnerships would be essential to developing the new centre. The charity has divided the appeal into individual areas, allowing donors to support specific parts of the project. Further information and details of how to donate are available at www.wadars.co.uk.
