Worthing band Friends With Foxes to play national final in London

Worthing band Friends With Foxes are heading to London to compete in the national final of Greene King Untapped 2026.

The four-piece, all in their thirties, won their regional final to secure a performance slot at The George in Southwark on Friday 11 September. The national final will be judged by McFly’s Danny Jones.

Winners of the competition will receive a £10,000 prize, professional studio time, and a performance slot at the Rolling Stone UK Awards.

The band’s journey began at The Broadwater in Worthing, where they played their second-ever gig against six other acts. They subsequently beat another six acts in the regional rounds.

Known for three-part harmonies that have drawn comparisons to Fleetwood Mac, the group recently released their debut single ‘Killers Do Wander The Night’.

Guitarist Nathan Brown said the band had only played one gig before entering the competition and described the feedback from listeners as “nuts”. He added: “Being told we’re going to London to play in front of Danny Jones is something none of us will forget.”
